In 2008 Professor Kypros Nicolaides visited India as a guest of the Federation of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of India and gave the FOGSI oration on Advances in Fetal Medicine. During this visit he had discussions with the president and general secretary of FOGSI (Dr NC Malhotra and Dr CN Purandare) and agreed that The FMF will sponsor FMF-FOGSI training fellowships in Fetal Medicine, under his supervision in London.

The FMF will also collaborate with FOGSI in the organisation of FMF-FOGSI training courses in Fetal Medicine to be held in different parts of India.
